We are now taking applications for spring semester and for the fall of 2018.  If you or your student are interested in learning Salish, achieving academic excellence, and learning and practicing Native American culture, please complete and submit the Native Youth Programs Application Form that is available below.

Please mail the completed application with all signatures to
Salish School of Spokane or scan and return via email (info@salishschoolofspokane.org).  You can also drop applications
off at 4125 N Maple Street in Spokane.

The Sƛ̓x̌atkʷ Sn̓sisyústn̓ x̌l̓ T̓aʔt̓ʔík̓ (Spokane Native Youth Empowerment Center) serves Native American youth aged 13 to 18 years.

The program began in the fall of 2017. SSOS partners with Spokane Public Schools' on-line education programs to provide high quality academics to Native youth in a Native American cultural learning environment.  Students who participate in the program:  1) complete rigorous on-line courses through Spokane Virtual Learning; 2) study Salish language for 90 minutes per day; 3) learn and practice Native cultural arts for 90 minutes per day, and; 4) participate in paid internship hours as Native youth mentors and leaders.
